Home Depot is having a FREE workshop this Saturday, November 3rd from 9am to noon at all Home Depot stores. They are geared towards children age 5-12, but the younger children will likely need some help from you.


The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.

In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.

On June 9th Pottery Barn Kids presents the National Geographic Little Explorers World Oceans Day Celebration at 10 a.m.

There will be hands-on activities, quizzes, songs and more. Kids ages three and up are invited to learn about dolphins, whales and other marine animals. Receive an explorer badge and a Dr. Seuss book (while supplies last).

Being a huge fan of Tim Burton movies I was excited when Walt Disney Studios announced "Frankenweenie" a new film from creative genius Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” The Nightmare Before Christmas”).  


 “Frankenweenie,” is a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
