Food
We had two great meals, Jimmie & Sooks (www.jimmieanssooks.com). They had a crabcake BLT that was out of this world. We also went to Canvasback Restaurant. We used a $25.00 gift certificate from (www.restaurant.com) that we paid less than $1.00 for. So we got a great deal, a good meal and excellent service. This was seafood paradise if you like Maryland crab.

We had diner at 2 of the restaurants in the hotel. They were wonderful. We ate at Eagle's Nest Bar and Grille, in the bar area of the hotels lobby. It has a lodge feel and is very cozy with two floor to ceiling fireplaces. We also had dinner at the Waters Edge Grill. That night they had a special kids buffet, which was a great idea after a long day of swimming.

Daily Resort Activities
We take a fall trip every year and we look for one amenity, a super large indoor pool (see picture below).
The pool was as advertised and they even had an indoor/outdoor hot tub. The kids loved swimming under the glass to go outside.  The outdoor pools are heated until December, and my kids did swim outside and loved it.

There is not a lot to do in Cambridge, Maryland so the pool will be the major focus for this getaway. If you go during the off season expect to chill out by the pool for most of the day, relax, and maybe get a massage. The hotel does have a lot of amenities to keep the kids, moms and dads entertained including:

For Dads – On site 18 Hole Golf Course, Fishing, full service marina, take a nature hike through the Blue Heron Rookery

For Moms – Tennis, pool, babysitting service, shopping in the town of Cambridge and a full service spa (which I tried and it was amazing)

For Kids – Mini Golf, Indoor Pool, movies shown at night at indoor pool, Camp Hyatt, game room and throughout the day they offer different family friendly movies, crafts games and treats.

I also can not say enough for the hotel staff. They were helpful, friendly and they really made our stay wonderful again this year. This was our favorite low cost, off season, four star vacation and we will be back again.
